Singing since an early age, Major Neptune began experimenting with music production and recording at the age of 15, cutting his teeth on vocal covers and homemade beats. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, with more time on his hands and a lot of ideas, Neptune began writing and releasing original music—not as personal confessionals, but as playful love letters to the pop and dance music he grew up loving.
Operating fully independently, Neptune writes, records, and produces all of his music, shaping every element from the vocal arrangements to the visual rollouts. However, this DIY ethic doesn’t sacrifice ambition, as clear aesthetics and a deep understanding of his references are a core part of every release, earning attention from niche pop listeners and tastemakers alike.
His upcoming project, “Neptune’s Trilogy”, a three-part conceptual series, showcases his range across shimmering synth-pop, nostalgic dance-pop and R&B sounds, as well as hard-hitting electronic club-inspired tracks. Whether through clever vocal stacks or bold production choices, Major Neptune brings a unique personality to his music that resonates with fans of left-field pop, retro-inspired dance and R&B, and queer club culture.
